In 1893, water was first diverted from the Canadian side of the Niagara River for generating electricity. Today the raging river provides nearly 2 million kilowatts of electricity from power plants on the Canadian side.  Once a fully operational station of the Canadian Niagara Power Company, the Power Station is now a celebration of the incredible history of Niagara Falls.  As you explore the 115 year old engineering marvel, you will be immersed in the innovative science of hydro-electric power and the stories of the visionaries who influenced the theories still being utilized today.
